Six streets converge in the south of Berlin. Their intersection: Neukölln’s Hermannplatz. Tens of thousands arrive and depart here every day. Yet far more than a transport hub, the square and its surrounding streets form a space of social activity where urban realities collide.
The roughness and resistance this place presents to me, too, as I encounter it with my camera in hand, are sketched alongside the in-between moments that allow it to breathe.
